Lake Suzy is located less than a mile from I-75 and just minutes away from Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte. In 2011, Port Charlotte was ranked first in Money Magazine's "25 Best Places to Retire."

The lake is located in DeSoto County, Florida and is 40 minutes from Fort Myers and the beautiful Cape Coral.

Crystal Bay/Kingway Condominiums is one of the condominiums the lake offer with beautiful lakeside views.

The body of water was completed in 1976 and the name derives from the lake developer's wife Suzy.

Covers More Than 40 Acres

Lake Suzy covers more than 42 acres with a maximum depth of 10 feet. The waterbody is privately owned and managed by the Lake Suzy Property Owner Association.

Swimming, boats and water-crafts are prohibited on this lake and angler's are to meet the State of Florida License requirements before casting their lines.

Lake Suzy Activities

Lake Suzy hosts a Christmas boat parade, Veteran's Day celebration and an annual bass fishing tournament for residents to enjoy.

The lake has many golf courses nearby, including Kingsway Country Club, an 18-hole championship golf course that is fun and challenging for golfers of all skill levels. The country club is also home to an 18,000-square-foot old Florida-style clubhouse, elegant dining room, large grille room with six flat screen televisions and an outside veranda.

Just 20 minutes away is Fishermen's Village that features a shopping center, resorts, vacation rentals and restaurants. A popular restaurant is Harpoon Harry's, an upbeat waterside seafood cafe with porch seating and live music on weekends.
